Modern Warfare 3 Breaks First Week Sales Record
To no surprised Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has broken the first week sales record. Modern Warfare 3 sold more than 12 million units, making it the biggest launch in the video game industry.
The Xbox 360 version made up for over 7 million units, which is the most a game has done on a single SKU. Sony’s PlayStation 3 achieved 4.8 million units, and the remaining 500k divided to PC/Wii.
Once the Japanese sales are reported it will push the PS3 to 5 million which will be a record for the console.
North America accounted for 63% of sales and 37% went to EMEAA.
