More Than 1600 Modern Warfare 3 Cheaters Have Been Banned
Robert Bowling has announced that Infinity Ward has cracked down on those who have chosen to cheat in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. As a result over 1,600 players have been banned and Bowling encouraged gamers to continue to report cheaters.
“Any attempt to cheat, hack, or glitch in #MW3 will not be tolerated. 1600+ bans issued. Updates in works. Please cont. to report offenders.”
We have received reports that a lot of gamers are experiencing cheaters on the PC, with some gamers using the aimbot.

Its effing bullshit!
There is a glitch in the snow level to go under the map and stay there killing people
There are Aimbots
There is a glitch that allows u to keep on using an infinite number of stealth bombers even though u have only earned one
There is walling where people can see through the walls and shoot u thru them

Really…. what kind of a publicity is this?
Today I’ve tried to find a game where there weren’t any cheaters (wallhack, aimbot, eploiting the stealthomber/airstrike bug). It’s just not possible.
It’s just not worth reporting the cheaters anymore. Like in MW2, nothing will be done with it. 1600…. thats a joke. If there is a cheater in every game, it is more like 100.000 cheaters. So thank you for letting the other 98.400 cheaters play
It would be nice if I could get my money back for this game, as it isnt playable anymore. If you did not buy this game, don’t buy it at all

The hacks are getting worse as we all know. Rather than just complain, I would like to suggest several things to help. I am a newbie at this gaming stuff and do not have any special techincal knowledge but it seems that we would benefit from:
1. Better form to report hacking immediately. Many of us, like myself, do not really know how to report so a column explaining in detail how would be helpful to me; or at least if one already exists, where to find it easy,
2. Allow servers to be ranked. If we can control our own servers better, maybe we can at least kick hackers from games. right now we have no control, we have to leave rather than them. Let’s not punish the true gamer, let them rank up on their own server and deal with hackers individually,
3. and last, increase the monitoring of games more. How, I don’t know, but with all that tech knowledge, something should be possible.
Thank you and I hope this great game does not suffer more because of the lame destroyers out there that have nothing better to do than to mess up things for everyone else.

I haven’t dealt with any cheaters. I love the game. Its the best CoD ever. All the spec op missions are awesome and the multiplayer is amazing. I’m not having issues. But this could also be because I have the game for US and Xbox 360

well using those dam glicthes that the publishers missed i think is still cheating bc if you cant c the person your tring to shoot or when u get killed by sum1 n u have no idea or ever seen the spot he killed u from then that 2 me is cheating n y would u wana use the glitch neways it just takes the fun outta the game bc ur actually not playin against other players ur just bein ignorant bc u probly suck at it n the only way u can kill other players is by using that glitch so how bout wen u get on n sum1 else uses the glitch 2 not get fuckin pissed u inconsiderate asshole PLAY THE GAME THE RITE WAY

It’s about time great job Mr.Bowling I am a avid call of duty player and was almost gonna trade my game in because of all the hacking and glitching going on but I stuck it out keep up the good work man and I was reading the posts and the people that tell people to calm down you should take a step back and listen instead of ridiculing cause were thinking about the future and what the little kids r learning cause if yur cheating what is that teaching the next generation if players once again awsome job Mr. Bowling for keeping the hackers at bay

I agree with Bernie. I think that we should be able to vote to kick a player from a game, similar to the way you vetoed maps in MW2. If there are team killers, or hackers, there should be a way to we can vote to kick a player and once enough gamers vote, they should be sent to a new server.
These games are rated 17+ for a reason, and having 12 year olds online who think its cool to hac and go into modded lobbies is ridiculous. I think there should be a way to regulate age in the lobbies. I’m not sure how you would do it, but there has to be a way.

To all Who cheat need to quit, if you are not good enough to play straight up then don’t ruin it for everyone else, i play countless hours of the game a week. I get annoyed with the cheaters and quit for a while and then get back on and play some more, but some one needs to crack down on them.

EVEN EXPLOITING GLITCHES IS CHEATING, ON THE SURVIVAL LEADERBOARDS FOR EXAMPLE THERE ARE DOZENS OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE GOTTEN TO WAVE 200 IN AN HOUR & I EVEN SAW ONE THAT WAS WAVE 301, NOT HUMANLY POSSIBLE TO GET THAT HIGH W/O CHEATING. I WAS RANKED 15th & 16th ON TWO DIFFERENT MAPS 2 WEEKS AGO NOW I’M IN THE HUNDREDS.
IF THEY COULD PROVE IT, THEY SHOULD BRING CRIMINAL CHARGES AGAINST THEM FOR TAMPERING WITH COPYRIGHTED PRODUCTS, IT WOULD BE FUNNY TO SEE THESE DORKS IN JAIL BEING SOMEONES B***H

making a bot is called PROGRAMING
you need to be a programer or some super hero nerd person to understand code to make them
while all the user does is launch bot, launch game, press wasd bot shoots for them, jumps for them, scratchs his arse virtualy for them
it’s like instead of someone walking somewhere or even using just walking to the bike, scooter, car to get somewhere
the boter is basicaly like a non-disabled person in a eletric wheel chair with eletric ramp and auto driving car just because they’re lazy and fat

to hack you are editing memory (a example) and stuff which aimbots don’t do they just do everything anyone else does without bad accuracy
you can either manualy hack with your super hero nerd knowlege or use programs to guide you while you MANUALY do it
bot doesn’t change your damage or anything like that so now you are a step closer to knowing you are stupid from calling those idiot botters a hacker
and people who find glitchs didn’t make the fucking glitch the developer of the game did so it’s their own fault if someone exploits a problem they failed to fix

For companies to advertise on the web and brag about cheats are undetectable and for sale is absolutely disgracefull ,activision with the hundreds of millions they made from selling this game should be ashamed…They seem to do nothing about it,if they are banning 1600 is a needle in a haystack…These companies selling hacks for this and other games should be closed down and prosecuted..its a sham all you guys paying so much hard earned money and are being robbed……..I for obne will NEVER EVER buy any of their products ever again ,as to the people who buy these hacks you are a DISGRACE towards other gamers……

im a call of duty gamer since the classic one MW3 is cheap and totally ran by hackers on Sony . im trading my game in and giving the franchise up until they stop the hacking and fix the server problems . i have a 63 person list of hackers i have collected in just 3 days .Im hoping after all my efforts i can find a website to report them.Today is March 12 and MW3 virtually unplayable due to hackers nothing works to stop them ive reported hundreds yet run into them all the time . Someone should sue activision for our recreational time being rudely interrupted by hackers

Also in regard to the conversation i disagree with all types of glitching , hacking whatever it is . Although not yet prosecutible it is a violation against federal law to use any form of encoding in a private owned network suck as xb online pc or psn but game makers and SCE AND XBOX are now in the process of how to legally get hackers prosecuted as if they stole ur identity or credit card numbers. Too them its the same concept. Hacking is hacking now glitching is different and shudnt be reason for ban . Gamemakers or whoever shud patch those its their fault not the players. But there are certain glitches that are ingame type hacks for instance the token glitch they shud ban for that type of glitches . Activision must be a bunch of undergrads that suck at making games and security patches. Well that,ll be all just remember to activision hacking is hacking no matter how you view it and technically is a federal offense in all forms see ya,ll

STEAM are pathetic. if i hade enough money and if i was living in U.S. i would take steam to a court of law. I´ve wasted 69€ in this good game, and they dont even have a decent anti cheat, sometimes takes like 5 mins to get a good game, without cheaters, i´m buying battlefield 3, ít´s worth it.
after mw2 i give them a chance, now it´s to much, 1 player dont make any difference, but if everybody think like me, they would change.

I agree with most of you people then I also disagree. The reason is because people have different opp ions on what is hacking. To me the aim-bot and glitch are not really hacking special glitches that the creators fault not the people that us it to there advantage, because 1 of all aim-bot is a 3rd party program 2 it is not effect or hurting the game at all 3 There is no way steam or activtion has any way of know your cheating. Let me explain why, when people go to join a team death match game the server is automatically assigns a ip address for that game depending on where you live of course. Once the ip address is listed that all that happens. Steam or activition has no way to track a 3rd part program .Because it not a hack it not like ur doing modification in the game people are using a program that help them with the game .If the people was really hacking the game FBI would be all over that was the case everyone would be in prison . Downloading a 3rd part program is not against the law it just something that help u. And if it was taken to court most likely they would throw the case out and say every game has it faults no game is perfect never will be.

I’ve played since pong came out and to say that taking advantage of aimbot’s and glitches is not hacking is like the Marines in Vietnam that were told that the M16′s initially issued to them didn’t require cleaning. It wasn’t until pictures were shown to Congress of dead Marines killed while attempting to clear jams, double feeds etc. were shown to Congress that anything was done about it. I owe my life to them since I went there later on.
There are so many of us that work our asses off only to watch you and your type ruin this and countless other games for players who want to be judged on ability and not how many corners they can cut.
Your reasoning is like having one of those fouled up M16′s, and if you rationalize this behavior, you’ll go through life attempting it in other areas. It all catches up to you and hurts like hell. Pull up your dress and act like a man. Try using your own abilities and if your good at being honest, it’s better than any high score you rack up in the short run.

If I think someone is cheating I just leave… If every body did this then the twat cheaters would have no one to play against.
I’m sick of listening to guys who obviously get a hard on from cheating, they have no interest in the game except they want everybody to see how clever they are. Winning at all costs is not winning anything at all. you have to be some kind of total loser to be proud of yourself when you cheat to win.
